Sport For Good Atlanta

Sport for Good Atlanta is a long-term, collaborative approach to strengthening Westside communities through the power of sport. In July 2017, we kicked off this commitment to the Vine City, English Avenue, and Washington Park neighborhoods by announcing funding for 14 local programs that are using sport to improve the lives of youth. Together, stakeholders from these neighborhoods have set shared goals to envision a brighter future for kids on the Westside. Sport for Good Atlanta is made possible by Mercedes-Benz USA and is supported by the National Recreation Foundation.

Since its launch, Sport for Good Atlanta has formed a community-wide coalition of local stakeholders from non-profit organizations, government, businesses, and educational agencies that work together to harness the power of sport to address challenges that Westside youth and these communities face, while also providing professional development and capacity building opportunities for nonprofit leaders and their staff.
