We believe that participation in tennis helps children learn dedication, discipline, perseverance, self-confidence, and teamwork!
The Chattahoochee Foundation empowers children with limited resources to learn the sport of tennis. These skills are essential for the life-long success of all individuals, both on and off the tennis court. By partnering with various organizations, facilities, and volunteers across the Metro Atlanta area, the Chattahoochee Foundation aids families in overcoming the financial limitations that prohibit them from affording lessons, drills, camps, and tennis equipment.
One of their signature programs is Volleys Against Violence, which brings together the Atlanta Police Department and local youth for nights full of food, fun, games and tennis. The focus is on bringing local kids and law enforcement together for physical activity, informal mentoring, relationship building and the delivery of life-skills curricula.
